Introduction / Overview:
Recently acquired fully optioned 66 Thunderbird. Was not really looking buy followed this one over several weeks in the collector car trader and as price continued to drop, curiosity got the best of me and I had to call. Short story shorter, she's now my next project and will be a resto-mod when completed.
Drivetrain:
Limited edition factory optional 428 cobra jet engine, c-6 transmission and a
Chassis:
Factory disc in the front and will be added rear discs in the near future. Gas shocks with more to follow.
Wheels:
From Coy's wheel a set of C67 shelby cobra look alikes with knock-offs. Rear are 18x9's on 275-40-18's and in the front are 17x8's on 245-45-17's
Body:
Car was originally white but that was just to plain for a boulevard car so we recently painted the car a 66 factory color, medium turquoise metallic. Removed the front bumerettes and mounting holes along with the front plate mounting holes. Bumpers have been rechromed and all new emblems were added but all highligh paint on the emblems was removed.
Interioir:
Interior is still "in progress" but will be a combination of original and modern touches. Car has all power options including steering, brakes, seat, windows, vents and locks. Cruise, a/c, as well as a reclining passenger seat and factory 4 speaker radio.
