Ride Nickname:
Bakker Bike
Make:
1385
Model:
3040
Year:
1984
Introduction / Overview:
My bike is actualy a Hot rod on two wheels. It has a handcrafted frame, rear swing-arm and aluminium tank. The frame kit is from a Dutch race-bike builder, Nico Bakker. He started building frames in the 80-thies for the Jap-bikes to match the frame to their performance.
Body:
Black metallic. Special paint spider web on tank and buddy. Had a matching helmet, but completely wore it out.
Engine:
The engine is from a 1200 cc Bandit. I threw the rediculas thin headers away and used the one from the GSX-R 1100. Carbs are also the biger GSX-R ones. A challange to tune this set. I plan to switch to injection to realy solve this.
Little Math: 150 HP for a 1100 cc
add 10 HP for the 1200 cc, throw in a couple for the open airfilters, 2" open exaust adds some more??
I guess there should be 170 horses available to push me ahead.
Suspension:
Standard GSX R 1100 items. (I need the extra negative travel of the front forks a lot)
Lifestyles:
Club-Racer
