I had an 80 that I put 35,000 miles on it in one year, great car. I don't know why but this car is such fun to drive. One og the reasons I have it and i keep going through all the issues.

thanks. I alot hs happened since my post. i redid all the brakes and on the test drive the motor blew. it appears that the people i bought the car from think a hipo rebuild includes cast pistons. That turned out ok as i located a factory turbo motor [less turbo] which can hold 400hp from the factory. then after that is install we take it out and blow first gear out of the 4 spd. So now was the time to switch to auto because a stick cost too much and i need a way to hold the power. i have a C3 from another Pinto in but come spring a V8 C4 and bellhousing go in. also a 4:10 posi rear is also going in. so now you are up to date.

That is one of the reasons I have it. I won't be seeing myself coming down the street...

Great car! I drove one once..it got great gas mileage. You don't see the Pintos often. I haven't seen one on the road in a few years.
