Plymouth Barracuda "67 Barracuda"

Drivetrain:
273 V8 w/ solid lifters, 3 speed on the column and 7.25 rear end.  In the future will be a stroked small block, 904, and 8.75 rear.
Chassis:

Relocated rear springs to make room for some bigger meats.  Homemade subframe connectors.  Front disc brake setup from 70's A-body.


Wheels & Tires:

Has room for 12" wide rears, probably on 17's.


Body:

Added mini-tubs and removed a lot of rust and dents, but still a long way to go.


Interior:
Stock

Work in progress...  Bought the car in fall of '06 and drove it home.  It only had 2nd gear cuz of a broken...

All the rust is cut out, and the inner wheel tub is being moved in 3" to make room for wider tires.

You can see the 3" strip of metal added to widen the wheel tub.

Replacements aren't available, so I had to buy Duster extensions and modify them.

All the inner metal work is done.

It's mobile...

I'm too lazy / poor to build a rotisserie, so I made some brackets that bolt to the subframes and put 1000lb casters on it. It cost $70 and it's really sturdy.

Subframe connector fabrication

The ends of the rear frame rails will be cut off and then 2x3 square tubing can slide inside it. It's cheaper and stronger than the aftermarket connectors.

Cutting the floor

The tubing will pass through the floor and will be plenty strong when everything is welded together.

You can see the tubing sticking up through the floor. I'll have some lumps in the carpet in the back seat area, but that's ok for me.
