"Thundernut" 1951 Ford Pickup
Introduction / Overview: 25 yrs Airforce, 30 yrs Mechanic. Specialty: Drivability. Retired now and loving it. Build it, drive it, break it and rebuild it. This truck was bought as a running driving stock. Due to rust issues and having a lot of Ford stuff around I decided to Hot Rod the Hell out of it some three years ago.
Drivetrain: 460/514cid Ford 385 big block. C-6 Auto, and 3-70 "9" inch. Makes 600+ hp. Built to make lots of good vibrations.
Chassis: Independant front from 1974 Ranchero 460 GT. Rear is a Coil Over setup from Speedway with traction bars, Hairpins and sway bar. Has 13 inch rotors front and 11X2 inch shoes rear.
Wheels and Tires: Ford 17 inch X 8 inch front and 17 inch X 10 inch rear. Perelli 255 45zr 17 tires.
Body & Paint: White epoxy and polyurathane. Rebuilt Stock 51 F1 Ford Pickup.
Interioir: Dolfin 6 instrument cluster, A/C and heat from 1972 F100 doner. Stock Bench Seat.
