"StealthFalcon"     1964 Ford Falcon

Introduction / Overview:

I am rebuilding a 64 Ford Falcon Convertible. Pretty much every thing it came with stock under the hood is gone from the suspension to the 6 cylinder engine, auto trans and 7" rear end.

I want a over-haulin style rebuild with a more stealth paint job when it's all done. Everything under the hood from the radiator to the exhaust will be done in August (I hope) Phase 11 New Interior and Paint will have to wait till next yr. I can't wait to drive my little car after 9months in the shop...

Drivetrain: First thing I did when I bought this car was to change out the suspension to a bolt-in kit from dearborn classics. So I will now have a mustang 11 suspension with a power rack n disc brakes up front. The 170 is gone replace with a 289 with a high performance cam, shorty headers and a t-5 5speed transmission from modern driveline. I have a 9" rear end with rear disc brakes (quick performance) now to match whats up front.
Chassis:
Wheels and Tires: Not sure of the size yet. I want to get the biggest rim I can here with a very low profile tire.
Body & Paint: Black Paint job was done before I bought the car by a vocational school. Looks really good from 10ft away needs to be redone. Not sure if I should go with flat black when I repaint or make the black paint shine to bring out the chrome. I saw a falcon without the long side chrome in black and it looked awesome. No door handles when I get it repainted!!!
Interioir: Black n Red interior reminds me of Social Distortion for what ever reason so even when I repaint next yr I want to keep that color combo l looks kinda punk rock
