"56 Chevy" 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air
Introduction / Overview: Work In Progress. Frame off restoration, ending with it being classified as a "resto-mod." Installing full floor and trunk pans, needs quarters, but there are no quality one's produced as of yet. May have to use what is available. Most I have talked to about them, say they need a lot of tweaking to fit. I have had no help on this car, but I may chicken out, and have the paint done by a pro. In the end she will look factory, with subtle changes on the outside.
Drivetrain: Ex police car drive train from a 94' Caprice, LT1, 4L60E trans. 96' Explorer 8.8 3:27 rear. Haven't decided on a cam as of yet. I may stroke this motor, depending if the cylinders need boring or not. 133K on her.
Chassis: Stock with upgrades. Graphite bushings, 500 gear steering gear box with sway bars fore and aft.Disk front and rear.
Wheels and Tires: Chevy rallies, and will sport Goodyear tires.
Body & Paint: In the future it will be sand beige with Aztec copper. Which is a factory 56' color combo.
Interioir: It will from a very popular interior shop, from the South West. Can't recall the name at the moment, but they make a model called "The Reggie Jackson."
