"Time wasting POS" 1965 Chevrolet C-10
Introduction / Overview:
Bought off of E-bay. I should have killed the kid that miss represented this POS. I also should have left it on the side of the road. I didn't do either. Too much time, and way too much money is turning this truck into a cool ride.
Drivetrain: 350 four bolt with a 350 turbo. Got a 10 bolt posi with 2.90 something gears for it as well. Work in progress and scattered all over my shop.
Chassis:
I've got the 2.5 dropped spindles and disc brakes on the front already. Have plans to install the 3 inch drop coils as well on the front side. In the back I've purchased CPP 5 inch dropped coils and 2 inch blocks. Also have the bolt in C notch and arm stiffner plates. Finally, I've got a new center section and poly bushings. Plans are to shorten the frame 12" and make it a short/wide. Same deal - all parts are still in the shipping carton pending spare time.
Wheels and Tires:
Who knows - this thing is still a POS!
Body & Paint: Junk. Replaced all of the typical rotted sheet metal and have finally turned the corner. Thank god replacement parts for this model are dirt cheap. I'm dreaming of a two tone black and orange with a Gray interior.
Interioir: Just got a set of Charcoal leather seats from a late model Chevy crewcab. Not sure at this point if I'm gonna waste them on this truck.
