"February 2010 Winner" 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle
Introduction / Overview: I purchased this 1971 Chevelle in Oct 1985 as a basket case. Now It has a fuel injected 406ci solid roller small block fitted Crower crank, Oliver rods and Ross forged pistons. Dart heads and Brodix intake. Dyno'd at 532HP - 509ft/lbs tq. Exhaust is 1 3/4" Hooker super comp headers with a 3" torque tech dual exhaust. Trans is a T-350 w/brake and 9 inch 4000 stall converter. Driveshaft is carbon fiber from PST. A 4.10 geared 12 bolt posi rear with Moroso brute strength carrier and Moser axles puts power to the ground. Brakes are factory GM 9.5" aluminum drums in the rear and Wilwood discs in the front. The body is the factory classic copper color and is all steel except for the functional 4 inch Glasstek cowl hood. Tires are Mickey Thompson 28.5x13.5-15 ET street tires on 15x10 5.5 back space Weld wheels the back, fronts are Mickey Thompson 26" front runners also on 15x3.5 Weld wheels. There is a compucar N2O on board controlled by a Jacobs mastermind. This on one fun street car!
