"No Gelding" 1967 Ford Mustang
Introduction / Overview: 1967 Mustang Street/Strip-bracket race car. Built as a fun car to drive around town and occasionally at the track. Took it out to Hotrod Magazine's Drag Week 2009, 2011 and survived the week long trip driving the Mustang 1100 miles and 4 tracks pulling a little trailer with spare wheels, parts, tools, and supplies.
Drivetrain: 429W naturally aspirated with full manual reverse pattern Performance Automatic C-4 + Gear Vendors Over/Under drive, 9 inch with Moser full spool and 33 spline axles. Runs 11's on pump gas.
Chassis: Stock front suspension with 6 cylinder springs and 90/10 shocks, CA Chassis Works 4 link, 10 pt cage, 4 wheel disc - manual.
Wheels and Tires: Weld Racing Rod Lites - Rear 15x14 w/ 32x17.5 Mickey Thompson ET Streets for track and 31x18 Hoosier Pro Street for cruising. Front 15x4 with Mickey Thompson Sportsman 8 ply for cruising
Body & Paint: Fiberglass hood, front valence, and trunk lid. Plexi rear window. The rest is stock steel and glass. Cheapo paint.
Interioir: Stock dash with Autometer gauges, Kerkey seats, 5 pt harness both sides, Dynamat and carpet front to rear including aluminum tin work. Modified console from 64 Thunderbird with
