"Dordolet" 1953 Ford F100
Introduction / Overview: I sold this truck recently but I'm still very proud of the work I put into it. I bought the truck with the rear suspension done and the front mocked up for a 5" drop. After rebuilding all the straight axle stuff I wanted it lower. Instead if going with Mustang 2 I used Dodge Dakota suspension. THe trucks name is a combination of Ford Chevrolet and Dodge, all the manufacters I used to get the truck looking like the vision in my head. I had planned on leaving the truck as I bought it only upgrading the mechanicals.
Drivetrain: Setup for 350 smallblock.
Chassis: Stock frame rails. Industrial Chassis front crossmember for Dodge Dakota suspension. Dodge Dakota control arms, steering rack and brakes. Western Chassis lowered 2" lowered spindles for Dodge Dakota. V-6 Dakota 5 lug brake rotors (5x4.5 bolt pattern) . Lowered springs for Dakota. Total front drop 8 inches. Rear previous owner (Bob Purser) rebuilt the stock leaves and flipped the axle to the top. Chevy Caprice rear axle with cop car aluminum drums.
Wheels and Tires: 15x6 and 15x8 American Racing Hopsters. 215/60/15 front and 275/60 rear tires.
Body & Paint: Stock.
Interioir: Stock. SoCal Speed Shop 12 volt switches. Aftermarket 12 volt wiring kit.
