"Bondorella" 1948 Ford F100
Introduction / Overview:
Bondorella (so named because of the massive amount of Bondo that USED to be on her) has had all of her innards messed with: Rebuilt Mercury Flathead with Offenhauser heads, rebuilt Stromberg carbs, new suspension, steering box... you name it.
I'm an urban industrial hillbilly kinda girl, so once the bondo was all ground off, we clear-coated the bare-metal with a bit of green and gold ice pearl flake mixed in! She's so pretty! (Course, I'm biased.) You can follow the Adventures of Bondorella on our blog, www.bondorella.blogspot.com.
I'm also a member of an all girls car club THE GASOLINE GIRLS, with fellow My Ride is Me member GREASE GIRL. Check out the website (www.gasolinegirls.com)... and be sure to say hi at shows!
Drivetrain: Mercury Flathead block, Mercury long-stroke crank, Offenhauser heads, Isky 400 Cam, Ford AOD tranny.
Chassis: Stock Ford F1 chassis, lowered a few inches.
Wheels and Tires: Stock
Body & Paint: No bondo, no paint. Just clear-coated metal, baby! With a special surprise. She glitters in the sun thanks to her green and gold ice pearl flake mixed into the clear!
Interioir: Mostly stock. Stock gauges. Stock seat frame. Grease Girl and I did a temporary headliner with a pretty cool polka dot vinyl. Eventually I'll re-do the bench seat, perhaps with a bit of tooled leather emblazoned with BONDORELLA!
