"Deguello"     1963 Ford Falcon

Introduction / Overview: Hey gang, Runawaychair here in Alpharetta, Georgia. I'm approaching 'over-the-hill' quickly and I wanted to build that car I couldn't afford when I was a teenager. So, why pick the lowly Ford Falcon? Well, the cool kid in high school had one and always had girls riding with him. There was 1 blonde in particular. . .anyway, I bought his and the blonde and I became better friends! Alas, I have neither 30 years later, so, I'm building the Falcon I would loved to have had back then. . .
Drivetrain: That cool kid's brother had built a wicked 302 /289 hi-po heads tthat ended up in his Falcon, so that's what I repeated: a 1968 302 short block, .30 over crank, 1966 289 heads, hydraulic-rollers, a vintage Edelbrock 'Torker' intake (the twisted one), a rebuilt 4150 double, Pertronix in a 1966 dual-point distributor, deep pan, ceramic coated: headers, intake, valve covers, breather, TCI C4, 9" rear. . .
Chassis: ha-ha-ha-haaa! It's a '63 Falcon fer chrys sake!
Wheels and Tires: American Racing 5 Spokes, White letter radials - I want a set of Red-lines next. . .
Body & Paint: Average body, basecoat /clearcoat red. . .
Interioir: a kustom work still in the planning stage. . .
Lifestyles: Hot Rodder, Street Rodder, H.A.M.B.
