"no name yet" 1961 Volkswagon Beetle
Introduction / Overview: I picked this car up recently because I needed to fill that void left when I sold my '70. Something about VWs just gets you hooked... Anyways, its a '61 running a '66 1500SP, nothing fancy just a stock setup. Lowered with adjustable beam up front and (I think) 2 clicks in back. This is my current daily driver and gas saver, so its a rolling work in progress.
Drivetrain: Its a 1500, but I can't find the engine number in any literature I find. Engine number is H0007475... Early production '66 perhaps??? Anyways, its pretty bone stock, 30pic1 carb, stock heads, etc..
Chassis: VERY rust free pan, with hardly any surface rust in the battery tray!! Practically unheard-of... Adjustable beam in front and about 2 notches in the rear.
Wheels and Tires: 135R15s in front on stock smoothies, 205/60R15s in back on Porshe 356 style wheels.
Body & Paint: Right now its in gray primer, but thats soon to change..
Interioir: None right now..
