"Tom Thumb Special"     1934 Ford Coupe

Introduction / Overview: After owning and running the "Pierson Coupe" for eleven years, this car's construction started February 1992 and ran at Speedweek that year. The car ran every Bonneville and Muroc events and several El Mirage meets to its final run at 2009 Speedweek. The car put six family members into the Bonneville 200 MPH Club as well as getting Mary West an "A" Driver's License. 
Drivetrain: Powerglide and then TH 350 transmission. Halibrand Champion Quick Change with 4.11 gear
Chassis: 2 X 3 Rectangle main frame & 1 1/2 tube chassis built by Dale Caulfield of Red Bluff CA
Wheels and Tires:

Front - Centerline Wheels with M & H Racemaster front runners

Rear - Originally, Wide-five wheels with 27" M/T Tires = 2008 went to Taylor Made Wheels of South Gate CA, Wide-Five 18" wheels with 30.0 x 9.0-18 M/T Tires. Weelbase 156 inches, Rear axle narrowed front wheel inside body 18" apart.

Body & Paint:

Dick William's PoliForm 1934 Streetrod body that we chopped to match the Pierson Coupe profile. Was in primer until 2007 when it was painted by Ken Close of Red Bluff CA.
