"3rd Child" 1940 Ford Tudor
Introduction / Overview: First put on the road in 1988, this '40 has had basically three lives. It has been the family street rod ever since I was a child, riding to car shows all over the country with my brother in the back seat.
Drivetrain: SBC, t400, 9", the basics.
Chassis: Stock chassis with our first "Evolution" front suspension based on Mustang II geometry. Leaf spring rear.
Wheels and Tires: Center Line Auto Drags, because my dad can't picture anything else on the car. BFG Radial T/A tires.
Body & Paint: Smoothed body including side trim, hood trim, door handles, trunk handle, hood latch, drip rails, front bumper, rear bumper moved in towards body with custom fill piece. The flame lick is painted on with blue airbrushed tips that show up in certain light, and it was put on in the mid 90's.
Interioir: Needs to be redone.
