"49 F3" 1949 Ford Pickup
Introduction / Overview: A past project is this 49 F3. The goal with this truck was to build it for $1000. Well Ive gone beyond that but I think I can finish it for no more than $2000. Every part I used came from swap meets antique shops, and Ebay.
Drivetrain: 413 Dodge engine,Racer Brown cam,Weiand tunnel ram with two Holleys,727 trans with manual valve body,1 ton Rockwell rear end with 4:88 gears.
Chassis:
Original straight axle moved forward 28", cab is mounted in stock location. Rear of frame shortened 24", rear axle rigid mounted.
Wheels and Tires:
Dodge truck 16" wheels with Goodyear 6.00/16 fronts and Denman military 9.00/16 rear tires.
Body & Paint: Bed shortened 24".Cab chopped 7" front, 5" rear. '40s era visor found at swap for $16. Gonna logo the doors and the body is done.
Interioir: Various swap meet parts, 62 Corvair seats,wood floor,tool box arm rest,industrial shifter
