"55" 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air
Introduction / Overview: I bought this car in October of 1975.It was an old race car that I brought back to life.I payed $300.00 for her and have spent many years working on her.
Drivetrain: She has a 1963 327 motor out of a Impala SS.The motor is bored 30 over with 11.1 pistons,fuelie heads,general kinetics cam,roller rockers,MSD Ignition & 4 speed trans.She has her stock rear with 3.55 gears & posi.
Chassis: Her chassis was rebuilt all stock in 1977.This past summer I put in CPP's front droped spindle kit with 12' rotors,Duel master cyclinder,8' boster & all new brake lines front to back.Next summer it's rear disks to complet the package.
Wheels and Tires: Her shoes are 16" x 8" chrome rally wheels with BFG 245/50r Tires all around.
Body & Paint: Her Body was put back to all original with junk yard quarters,JC Whitney rockers & NOS new front fenders that I bought from Malcom Koners Chevy in 1976 for $300.00.The same price as I payed for the hole car in 1975.Her color is 76 Corvett Yellow with gold peral in the clear coat.
Interioir: Her interior is all black with 76 Monte Carlo swivell buckets & a 65 GTO back seat.The dash & steering colume are all stock.I put new carpet in this summer and plan on new doorpanels next summer.I put in a new headliner in 76 from JC Whitney.
