"KandiTaylor" 1968 Ford Mustang
Introduction / Overview:
This Mustang has been in my family since 1993. My dad bought it from the original owner. I bought it from my dad in 1998 and started restoration on it in 2002 shortly after my wife Kerri and I married (she loved it, even in it's pre-restored condition).
The motor and transmission is currently out while I build up a 331 SEFI (Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection) stroker and T-5.Drivetrain:
Engine under construction:
- 347 Street Fighter short block, 11:1 compression
- AFR 185 heads
- Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, ported by Ed Curtis
- Ed Curtis Custom cam
- Shooting for 475 TQ/HP
Chassis:
- Global West subframe connectors
- Front and rear disc brakes, drilled/slotted rotors
- 8.8" rear end, 3.73 gears, 31 spline eaton posi and axles
Wheels and Tires:
- Billet Specialties 17x8 wheels
- Kumho 235/17/45 tires
Body & Paint:
- Ford Laser red
- Super Snake strip in Porsche white
- Painted by Bob Smee of KustomKar in Mesa, AZ
- 6 coats of clear
Interioir:
- '96 Mustang seats
- Custom upholstery
- 2 10" Memphis Subs, Eclipse speakers, pioneer head unit
