"58 f100 prostreet" 1958 Ford F100
Introduction / Overview: 58 F100 pro street/back halved/coil over/four link/9" narrowed housing/35spline axles/Strange center section with 4:11 and Detroit Locker/Ford SVO 470 485hp crate motor/C6/tilt front/tubbed/racing bucket seats and roll bar plus all to NHRA specs. I found the truck rusting in a field and saw something. I built it when I had time and money over a 10 year period. I'm a hobbyist and mostly learn from car mags and such. Actually built car for 1/4 mile bracket racing and did a little but mostly use it for short cruising.
Drivetrain:
Ford SVO 460 485hp/C6/9inch Strange with 35spline axles,Detroit Locker 4:11/Holley Street Avenger 870 carb/ MSD electronics
Chassis: OEM boxed with additional crossmembers and seat connectors and connected roll bar etc with a Art Morrison four link/coil over/ rear clip.
Wheels and Tires:
Hoosier Pro Street Radial rear tires 31x18.5-15LT/Weld Draglite 90 Series 15x14 w/4.5 back space, fronts are BF Goodrich radial P235-70R15-102 M+S on Draglite 15x4 4.5RS
Body & Paint: All steel oem/with my fabbed front tilt and tubs and sheet metal bed floor/paint is PPG Acrylic Urethane DCC3620 Oxford White
Interioir: Summit? or plastic racing buckets with black upholstery. Mostly the interior is all painted white sheet metal and a black rubber floor mat. And lots of Autometer gauges.
