OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational Qualifier May 21, 2013, (MILWAUKEE) – Back by popular demand, OPTIMA Batteries will once again host the OPTIMA Faceoff at Road America event in Elkhart Lake, Wis., June 21-23. Presented by Royal Purple and K&N Filters, the OPTIMA Faceoff at Road America will showcase one-of-a-kind performance vehicles during an action-packed weekend of high-powered activity. The OPTIMA Faceoff at Road America brings together a wide range of the best street-legal performance vehicles including vintage, late-model, import and domestic entries of all makes, and is a regional qualifying event for the prestigious OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational occurring later in the year. The OPTIMA Faceoff at Road America event will be filmed for television as part of the expanding OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car series. Automotive celebrity and former WWE wrestler, Bill Goldberg, will be onsite as returning show host. Land Speed Racing at the Ohio Mile Kris Henderson build this car with the help of friends in the 80s and has been tinkering with it and racing it ever since. In it's current configuration, it's running a custom built 572" BBC with nitrous. During the Ohio Mile, Kris was trying out some new tires that were taller and skinnier. The decrease in traction was more than he was anticipating - making for a few wild passes down the 1 mile course. This video is a compilation from several views in and around the car. It is concluded with Kris going over how and why the car was built into the monster that it is today....

Kirk Wilmes may seem like your average gearhead, he loves lead sled Mercury's, hot rod fords and classic Cadillac's. However Kirk has an unique story to tell about his late Grandfather Don Kizziar and his enormous collection of classic cars! Kirk Wilmes hails from Atlus, Oklahoma where he had the privilege to grew up around his grandfather and his grandfather's car collection. His grandfather started collecting cars in the early 70s and never stopped! Don's collection contained over 40 cars that spanned over 7 decades of automotive history! His collection contained everything from Lead Sled Merc's to Hot Rod Ford's to Muscle Mopars and even rare cars such as Cord Aubruns! He was able to afford this enormous collection due to the fact that he founded and owned a Cattle Business known as Cattle Management Systems. Sadly Don passed away in 2010, and his entire collection was left to his wife Ruth. She was unable to take care of the cars, so the entire collection was auctioned off in a series known as the Kizziar Collection Auctions in the summer of 2011. While the cars may...
