Northwest Side Cruise-in: Peoria, AZ’s Saturday Night
A short 55 miles away from my house in Chandler, AZ, I met up with AzAmber, at the Saturday night 83rd Ave and Beardsley cruise-in. What a great show! I took off Saturday and stopped by Industrial Chassis, then hit the Safeway parking lot at about 6PM. There weren’t many spots left!
The show was a nice mix of cars. You had your hot rods, street machines and even a few exotics, but there were also a couple low riders mixed in with the new factory muscle. Something for everyone!
I handed out every card I had that night to a warm group of people saying I’d write a blog about it, so here it is. I won’t feature the cars I saw in this blog, but they’re coming! (Leave a comment if you see your car!) Here’s the sneak peak:
That nasty looking 1954 Studebaker’s running a former NHRA Top Alcohol dragster engine! Watch for a feature story on that one! The pretty Jag’s for sale and will be show at the Brighton Ranch Paint and Body show coming up next weekend 5/17/08. Look at their website for more details. I’ve got more details on that GT-40 too.
If you get a chance, stop by the show. It’s a laid back atmosphere, there’s plenty of places to eat near by and everyone I talked to was really cool. Now, if just a few of you would join My Ride is Me! All pics from the 5/10/08 Saturday to be loaded soon…

You end up at the Safeway? Right on, but every third Saturday of each month if continue on up Lake Pleasant Parkway a couple more miles is a Wal-mart that also is happy to have everyone and their cars hang out. Those particular nights we are the hang out for the Sun Country Corvettes. Anyhow, I am just trying to get word out that we are there and any and all are welcome. The Wal-mart is located at the corner of Lake Pleasant parkway and Deer Valley roads. 99th avenue actually goes straight into the parking lot of the store and currently the cars hang out in the northwest corner of the parking lot. If you have any questions call 623-537-0809 and ask for Paula in automotive. Thought I would offer this up if you maybe feel like a change in scenery or something. Thanks
no recent posts..is this site still up and running..?
Absolutely! There’s been 3 or 4 new stories this week! Where are you looking?
do the fellas that show cars at Saturday Nights at Peoria AZ, 83rd ave & Beardsley have a website or contact??
i’d like to bring my nova to show when they start up this fall.
I don’t know of a website for that show. Are you sure it’s not going on right now? The Scottsdale Pavilions car show hasn’t stopped all summer. It just gets pretty thin when it’s super hot out.
Do they do this every Saturday on 83rd and Beardsley?
They used to… I haven’t been out there in a long time.
