Phoenix’s Cruise on Central: Truth about the 5 Bucks!
TO ALL ARIZONA CRUISERS:
This was a message passed onto me from Lance Baker at Hot Rod Planet.
The following was passed on to me and others by Jim Frost of the T-Bucket club here in Arizona. This should help ease some of the concerns about the $5.00 parking fee imposed for this Saturday.
The reason for the fee is real simple, the rent for the parking lot & security went sky high. It is costing an extra $10,000 to put this event on! So it boils down to helping out with this kind of event by paying a few bucks or NOT HAVING A CRUISE ON Central. Personally I think $5 is cheap compared to what some of these car shows charge! Where else in this state do you have a gathering of this size that you don’t have to pay $50-$100 to attend.
Nancy decided to help us out by offering everyone who pays to park a $5 Discount Coupon for the ARIZONA SPORTSWEAR booth. So now you can save $5 on your event t-shirt!
With everything that Nancy & Arizona Sportswear has done for us and the classic car community , lets show some support.
I hope this helps everyone understand why the fee this year.
Folks, keep this in mind – we must stay united in our Cruisin’ efforts, and support such events as Cruisin’ on Central, even if there is a fee. Trust me, it takes time and in some cases money to put these types of events on. So come on out and show your support for that Great American Past Time we call “CRUISIN” !!!

Thanks for the coverage on my Cruise on Central. It cost thousands of dollars to put this show on. For the small handful of guys that have called and told me off, and said I was trying to get rich, and be like Goodguys please stay home and let all the great guys that always attended for years have the space. I work very hard on this show as well as My Kool Fm show which is at Westgate this year on the 24th, and to get slammed for 5.00 really, Anyone thats wants to pay all the expenses so it can remain free, please step forward, I love doing this and I won’t let a few idiots ruin it for everyone else. By the way I attended Goodguys last year, had to join ,paid 75.00 to enter and got a cup……………………….but I did not complain, I choose to go. See you at Central, and thank you so much to all the great guys out there that have supported me.

We had never done this event before, but always attend the 94.5 KOOL Car Show that Arizona Sportswear and KOOL does as a joint venture

Back to last night October 8th..
…………… The Cars, The Cruisin and The Atmosphere was GREAT…
Hearing that in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s Central was the place to be on Friday and Saturday Night…..”running the lanes”…..and …” layin’ rubber ”
There had to have been nearly 800 or more cars….and 5,000 people plus… lining both sides of the street… from Indian School to Washington? All Age Groups, in lawn chairs and stanging, shooting pictures, razzing drivers to ” light em up” ….
Awesome Muscle Cars, Classy Classics, Hot LowRiders…you have to see it to believe it ! Is there another one of these Cruisin Central in the Spring??? Let me know !
TOO BAD… that some “car owners” can’t pay the $5.00 to enjoy and display their $20,000 to $60,000 plus …Muscle Cars, Show Cars, or Prestine Classics.. plus enjoy the pay back you get in complements about your car and the new people you meet is priceless.
ALSO TOO BAD.. that the American Automoblie Manufacturers couldn’t attend a few of these types of events and see how the PUBLIC and the CAR ENTHUSIAST treasure and display their Pride and Appreciation for the ICONIC CARS of yesterday…when in AMERICA .. WE BUILT INCREDIBLE CARS… “once”.
Anyway you cut it.. this TRADITION! “CRUISIN on CENTRAL”

Thank you so much, we only had a small handful of very rude obnoxious people and they were very abusive, I say stay home next year.
However the Kool Fm show is at Westgate Center at Glendale Ave and the 101 with over 3500 parking spaces as we outgrew the Church, please note that.

It’s about time you were “allowed” to reap some of the benefits and cover your expenses. It’s a great event which I will gladly pay $5 to attend. Heck, what other car show can you attend for that little bit.

i’d like to know why “nancy the witch perry” never thanks the ‘WOMEN’ that attend shows? she’s a money hungry bitch and nobody can stand her. i was told that she uses everybody for their money. She never promotes anybody elses shows. she wants all the money for herself. She’s an idiot. She runied the cruise at safeway on saturday nights just so people would go to her cruise. she talks about people behind their backs but will ‘NEVER” talk to them to their faces. She’s useless, Why do all these people give her money? I won’t . EVER
