Vintage Rides

I tried to get the evaporator as high as I could under the dash.

This doubles as both an e-brake bracket and cover. I had to sink the handle into the floor due to the thickness of the floor and the tubular center section just under and behind the handle linkage.

Since I had a double firewall to work with, I was able to run the throttle cable right through the outer firewall and anchor it to the inner firewall. That way, there are no nuts on the engine side.

Mounting the seat on an angle to provide more thigh support.

Overhead gauges, ignition, h/a/d controls, air ride controls, wiper switch, etc. are all in the overhead panel. You have to stoop down to see them if you're just walking up to the car; it keeps the dash a little cleaner.

Introduction / Overview:
"Bare Naked" might be a good way to describe this build... no interior, no body filler, no paint, just out in the open engineering and nothing much added that doesn't need to be there. I wanted to keep as much hidden as possible; you won't see the stereo, power windows, etc. but they're all there.

Drivetrain:
ZZ4 crate from Apple Chevrolet, 700R4 trans. Currie 9+ hot rod housing.

Chassis:
Made by myself using Welder Series bracketry, motor mounts, front and rear four link kits, center section, tranny mount, boxing plates, etc. Straight rear crossmember. 4" diameter Shockwaves in the rear, drilled aluminum I beam axle with mono leaf spring in the front.

Wheels:
Wheel Vintique 14 series wheels with 41 Ford caps. Front tires - BFGoodrich P185/65R15 touring T/A
Rear tires - BFGoodrich P285/60R16 radial T/A

Body:
Bear Fiberglass body, no paint.

Interioir:
Just the way it came from Bear... gel coat interior panels and ceiling, gel coat floor. Speedo and two vents in the dash, with all the other switches and instruments above the windshield.
