FYI... Ruby is original. we are going to rebuild the motor, but the mechanic wants to keep the original motor as close to original stock as we can. We will be putting a new top ( top's motor is new and so is the wiring.) and seat covers,on soon. we had considered a new motor, but Juice, balked at it that and upon consideration, we agree with him. We did change to Disc Brakes, for safety reasons.
Ruby is in the shop..get her motor worked on. Upon inspection, it was decided that we did not need a new motor..0nly 46,00 miles (original) , on her., New Muffler, going rubble nicely, new Carb, new seals, Valves, etc. should be finished in 2 weeks ( took 6 months, due to back injury). we only used OME. We wanted to stay as close to original as possible. signed statement about the milage being correct.
